Remodel enthusiasm
The process isn’t always fun, but it should never make you feel anxious...
It is exciting to think about a remodel and what it could look like. But that enthusiasm is quickly offset when you start to think about the costs and time and sacrifices it takes to get there. To us, success isn’t just based on the quality of our work, it’s also about how we made you feel along the way. We do everything we can to create Remodel Enthusiasm from the beginning of the project to the end.
The Walkthrough
Remodel enthusiasm
We come to your site first, for free. Our on-site walkthrough is meant to help us see your vision and understand the ways in which your home could accommodate your taste and needs. We can give you an idea of what’s realistic, some of the costs that are involved and give you some other ideas that could save you money.
Remodel Anxiety
A lot of contractors request that their clients come to them. While there isn’t necessarily anything wrong with this approach, we think coming to your site is a much more efficient use of everyone’s time.
Setting Expectations
Remodel enthusiasm
It’s hard to stay enthusiastic about anything when you don’t feel like a partner in the process. There are all kinds of implications to the work we do… we want you to know what to expect at every stage.
Remodel Anxiety
Other contractors talk about the work that will take place, but few talk about how that work could interrupt your daily life.
The Proposal
Remodel enthusiasm
We don’t want any costs to be overlooked. Our projections are more accurate because of the specificity of our proposals.
Remodel Anxiety
Contingency plans are a big problem in our industry. A lot of contractors will low-ball bids and leave 15-20% contingencies. Their initial price seems competitive, but is rarely realistic. The homeowner inevitably ends up paying more than they originally thought they would.
Consideration
Remodel enthusiasm
Your life does not stop during a remodel. In most situations, the house still needs to be livable. We want to make the experience as painless as possible. That means containing messes, working around your schedule and staying in constant communication. It means being mindful of you and your family’s privacy and helping you stay prepared for whatever comes next.
Remodel Anxiety
When contractors are so focused on the work and getting things done, they are prone to overlooking the comfortability of the family living there.
Keeping You Informed
Remodel enthusiasm
Hiccups happen. Most of the time, there’s no need to panic. We’re always transparent about unexpected issues and we will discuss every option with you.
Remodel Anxiety
When you don’t get regular updates, it can make you feel like you’re in the dark. If something unexpected happens, you might know later rather than sooner.
It's About Your Home, Not Just The Project
Remodel enthusiasm
We often notice things that aren’t in the scope of our project and will, at the very least, make you aware of them. We want your home to be safe and comfortable now and in the future.
Remodel Anxiety
It’s just about the project at hand. No need to go the extra mile.
